When I tell you this was a dream come true, believe me! I had the incredible honor of serving as a Celebrity Red Carpet Correspondent at the King George Music Group’s Inaugural Carolina Soul Music Awards, presented by Bamberg Legal, LLC, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Columbia, South Carolina.

The atmosphere was electric — the fashion was on point, the music was soul-stirring, and the energy was pure Carolina pride. From the moment I stepped onto that red carpet, microphone in hand, I knew this night was going to be one for the books!

A Celebration of Southern Soul

This event wasn’t just a show — it was a movement. The Carolina Soul Music Awards honored and celebrated the artists, DJs, producers, and creators who have built the heartbeat of today’s southern soul scene.

As a genuine fan of this genre (and an even bigger fan of King George), I couldn’t help but smile ear to ear watching the stars who bring so much joy to dance floors and backyard cookouts across the South.

Conversations with Carolina Royalty

Throughout the evening, I had the pleasure of interviewing some of the hottest names in southern soul and the people who keep the culture alive.

I caught up with King George himself — the man whose music has become the soundtrack to a generation of grown folks having a good time. His humility and love for the fans were just as inspiring as his chart-topping hits.

The red carpet was buzzing with star power — Kang 803, 803Fresh, Meranda Furtick, CharMeka Joquelle, Nephew Jones, West Love, Money Train, DJ Payme, Jasmine Brown, DJ Dirty, DJ Cleve, Frank John, and Lakisha D. Farrar all stopped by to share their excitement for this historic event.

From artists to producers, from dancers to die-hard fans, everyone agreed — this is just the beginning for Carolina Soul.

💃🏾 Fans, Line Dancers & Family Vibes

One of my favorite parts of the night was connecting with the fans and line dancers who bring the music to life. Their energy, joy, and sense of community remind me why I do what I do.

Every song played, every step on that dance floor, every smile — it all told a story of love, rhythm, and southern pride.

📸 Lights, Camera, Mo’tion!

As your favorite Red Carpet Queen, I came ready with all my media essentials — from lights and lenses to lashes and laughs!

My interviews will be featured on upcoming episodes of The Mo You Know VIP Show and across my social platforms, so stay tuned to relive every unforgettable moment.

Final Thoughts

Covering the Carolina Soul Music Awards reminded me that southern soul isn’t just a genre — it’s a way of life. It’s family, faith, and fun wrapped in melodies that move your spirit.

A huge thank you to King George, Bamberg Legal, LLC, and the entire KG Music Group team for curating an event that brought the soul family together in one unforgettable celebration.

Until next time — keep shining, keep dancing, and keep showing love. Because remember…
